Q. Do you need any
volunteers?
A. Absolutely! We welcome volunteers to help us with everyday
chores at the ranch, as well as adoption events and special
activities. Please visit our Ways to
Help page for details.
Q. Where is the Ranch?
A. We are in a remote area of northern Rio Rancho – and not at any
address you may find on the internet. With no “valid” address for
you to drive to, driving directions are the only reliable way to
get here. Please see our Contact Us
page for directions.
Q. Can I surrender my dog or cat to you?
A. As space allows, we accept healthy pets and find a new home for
them. For fees and other details, please see the
Adopt-a-Pet page.
Q. Are your adoptable dogs and cats spayed/neutered etc.?
A. Yes, when you adopt a pet from us, it has been spayed/neutered,
microchipped, and has all age-appropriate immunizations.
Depending on where you live, you may still need to license and
register your pet with the city/county.
Q. Where do I go if I want a kitten?
A. Kittens are not at the Ranch proper. When we have them they are
available for adoption at the two PetSmart stores we are
affiliated with:
PetSmart
10248 Coors Bypass NW
Albuquerque, NM
M-F 12-4:30 Sat 10-5 Sun 11-4 |
PetSmart
350 Eubank Blvd. NE
Albuquerque, NM
Mon-Thu 12-5 Fri-Sun 10-5 |
Q. Where can I bring items to donate?
A. We have a Wish List
of the most needed items at the Ranch. You may bring the items to
the Ranch during our operational hours shown on the
Contact Us page. We can provide
you with a receipt for your items, which may be tax-deductible.
Q. Where can I send a check?
A. Please mail envelopes to Watermelon Mountain Ranch, 1512 Deborah
Rd SE #203, Rio Rancho, NM 87124, and thank you very much!
