As New Mexico's largest no-kill animal shelter, we work with amazing shelters and organizations including our network partner, Best Friends Animal Society, to go where the need is greatest and save the pets most in need of your love. The Chuck Wagon Pet Food Program accepts donated dry and wet pet food to help feed the pets while they are at the Ranch. It also supplies other shelter rescue organizations, and senior residents who may be on a fixed income and are having trouble feeding their pets. We accept unopened bags of dry dog and cat food, (any brand), and cans of wet cat and kitten food.
 

3 Ways to Donate Food:

(Main Campus, WMR PetSmart adoption sites, Going to the Dogs (and cats) resale shops, events)
2. Donate money to the Chuck Wagon Pet Food Fund
3. Order online through the WMR Amazon Wish List

Kuranda Shelter beds are sturdy platform beds that keep the pets off the cold floor where they are healthier and can rest more comfortably.

Donate a dog or cat bed directly from the manufacturer and have it shipped directly to the Ranch.

Instead of selling, trading, or storing your vehicle, you can make a donation to Watermelon Mountain Ranch and receive a tax deduction. We have partnered with Vehicles for Charity to make donating easy. Donate your automobile, truck, van, recreational vehicle, motorcycle, dirt bike, tractor, boat and trailer and help save more lives.

We receive many pets that have special needs or require surgery. In order to provide them with the medical care they require as well as assistance to accommodate their needs, it is essential to raise funding. Please help us continue to care for these special pets so that we can provide them with the assistance they need to become healthy and find a forever home.

Lee DiClemente, co-founder of Watermelon Mountain Ranch, passed away on September 8, 2010. He was 67. It was Lee’s dream to create a safe, quiet, retirement facility for the senior dogs and cats that come to the Ranch. In his honor, we are hard at work making his dream a reality, securing funds for heating, cooling, flooring, and everything else to keep our four-legged residents comfortable and safe. Please support the senior pets at the Ranch.​

WMR takes in hundreds of animals each month. Donations and funding are at record lows. Animal intakes are at record highs. For all of the unconditional love they give us, won't you give back to them through the Unconditional Love Give Back Project. A $75 or more donation program providing food, medical attention and caring for the thousands of animals who come to Watermelon Mountain Ranch while waiting to be adopted.
